The Diploma in Fitness Management is a specialized programme designed for individuals passionate about health, exercise, and fitness. This programme combines sports science, business management, and fitness training to prepare students for careers in the fitness and wellness industry. Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to work as fitness trainers, gym managers, personal coaches, or even start their own fitness-related businesses.
ASA College was established by family members in 2001 with the intention of providing recognized and affordable education for students with a focus on employment. Over the years, ASA has grown in strength and innovated education delivery, but still maintains its core goal of making education affordable and accessible to all.

ASA College offers a range of programs from certificate to degree levels in fields such as business, accountancy, and information technology. These programs are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The college also provides financial assistance options, including installment payment facilities and support through the Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN), ensuring education remains accessible and affordable.

Join Our DIFM Program:

  • APEL A (Age must be 20 years old in the year); or
  • A pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / O-Level with a minimum of 3 credits; or
  • A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in the related field with at least CGPA of 2.00


English requirement for international student:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500; or
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 or its equivalent

If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to
ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme. The student’s proficiency is determined through an assessment process.

  • Understand Exercise Science: Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics as they relate to physical activity and fitness.
  • Design Fitness Programs: Develop and implement individualized and group fitness programs that cater to diverse populations and fitness levels.
  • Apply Nutritional Principles: Understand the role of nutrition in health and fitness, and provide basic dietary guidance to clients.
  • Demonstrate Leadership and Communication Skills: Exhibit effective leadership qualities and communication skills essential for motivating clients and managing fitness teams.
  • Manage Fitness Facilities: Oversee the operations of fitness centers, including equipment maintenance, staff supervision, and customer service.
  • Understand Business Practices: Apply fundamental business and marketing strategies to promote fitness services and manage financial aspects of a fitness facility.
  • Ensure Safety and Risk Management: Implement safety protocols and risk management strategies to prevent injuries and ensure a safe exercise environment.
